#2 Steps for a Successful Serum or Plasma Preparations for Multiplex Biomarker Assays
The following steps can help with the success of your multiplex assays.
Steps to a Successful Serum Prep
- Allow blood to clot at room temperature for 30–45 min before proceeding to centrifugation steps.
- Centrifuge at 1,000 x g for 15 min at 4°C and transfer into a clean tube.
- Repeat centrifugation at 10,000 x g for 10 min at 4°C to completely remove platelets and precipitates.
- Dilute samples according to the assay instruction manual.
Steps to a Successful Plasma Prep
